Hot Swappable Batteries

Dual Smart Card

To ensure efficiency and data accuracy, MD-116 can read 2 smart cards simultaneously. Paramedics can use the tablet to read a patient’s insurance card for EMR retrieval even while the operator’s ID card is still inserted.

Dual Signal Modules

In case of cellular data signal loss, MD-116 has built-in Dual LTE support modules to ensure that paramedics will able to receive signals from 2 different LTE data providers. Additionally, antennas are hidden inside the handle to achieve optimum signal reception without being blocked by the magnesium alloy chassis.

Vehicle Docking Station

MD-116’s docking station is designed to secure the tablet in a vehicle while providing spare batteries and charging features. In addition to having fan-less cooling, the docking station also provides additional active cooling to the tablet when it detects excessive temperature from the battery packs.

Quick Release and Secure

The MD-116 can be easily docked and released by one hand with our vehicle docking station. The system includes a clamp locking mechanism that safely secures the tablet in place. When paramedics need to take the tablet out, they can unlock and remove it from the dock quickly by pressing the locking clamp with one hand.

Robust Chassis Design

MD-116 is designed to be used outdoors in extreme environments. To accommodate different situations, the tablet is constructed in a magnesium alloy chassis with ruggedized edges that can withstand a three-foot drop. In addition to being IP54 compliant, the sunlight readable display is protected by scratch-resistant Gorilla Glass.
